Oud in Gulf heritage: from the majlis to the bottle
In the Gulf, oud is not only a fragrance but a language of hospitality. Perfuming the majlis before guests arrive is a rooted custom that signals welcome and generosity before a word is spoken.
Over time oud moved from the burner to the bottle, and compositions emerged that pair oud oil with rose, saffron and amber for everyday wear without losing their origin.
